Using crystallography as craft we are able to see how micro scale geometry creates macro scale material properties firsthand. In this example, RGB LEDs act as the seed geometry for the crystals allowing the crystals to grow around the components and batteries. Ongoing work in this series is looking at crystal linkages, durability, masking and alternate crystal geometries and growth methodologies.
